betty and i became "snowbirds" last year.  we'd been coming to florida winters, but only for 2-3 weeks at a time.   now we're able to spend at least 3 winter months.  this year, we escaped winter- raveged new york and recently returned to our long island, ny home.  we love new york (during late spring into  autumn,) and we're lucky to live only 50 miles east of manhattan, which we're particularly fond of, so much so that we have a timeshare right on west 56 st across from carnagie hall.  it's within walking distance to central park, broadway theatres, nyc shopping, YES, THE BIG APPLE.  now when there's a tinge of winter in the forecast, we can start packing our bags and return to our second home, the beautiful hillsboro imperial which we truly love and enjoy as well.
